Where Love Conquers (Continued)

As their time together, extended, the young girl and Red seemed to get along very well, overall.  The issue of cleaning each thing touched became less and less important.  Red would still lash out with disparaging comments to the young girl, at which was no reaction and a smile.  This smile by any other person would infuriate Red and, in this case, her ire seemed to have softened in time.  The two, despite, an occasional flare-up, became a team that would “get the job done”, and bring about positive results.

Then one day without warning, Red made one of her demands of the young girl.  This was a moment not expected and the young girl refused to oblige Red.  At that point, Red beside herself had just not expected such a response, went into a rant.  Not just an average Rant, but one that would be hard to repeat and difficult to back out of.  The young girl listened and did not react, for at this time only Love would show how deep and serious the young girl’s commitment to the power.  The power that only Love can make change happen.

The day ended quietly and peaceful, with little conversation, other than what was necessary for closing up for the night.  Needless to say, the days to follow were different in such a way that could only be predicted in a different time-frame.

As with hearing this story, from the young girl, reflecting on the account, and pondering a “like” situation in my life, my mind tends to flash words of strength, character, morally conscious traits which reveal the truth of one’s being.  There is another aspect that brings all of this into perspective.
