One day, Red got serious with the young girl. She quizzed the young girl with regard to why she would not react as others and go on without event. The young girl explained to Red that Love is what got her this far and that Love would be her driver for the future. The young girl continued with explaining that everyone has an opinion and that if the words used were not in line with how she felt about herself, she would not need to express her feelings.
Out of the blue, Red said, “My Dad wants to meet you”. “What”? was the response, and continued “Why would he feel the need to meet me”? Red explained that her Father had noticed a change in her and not sure where she was getting her ideas. All this was just a beginning, as his daughter changed, and his Heart was transforming as well.
The day came. Dad drove up in his Diesel Duelie. The young girl mentioned that it was loud and you knew who had driven up. The young girl, with a little timidity, waited for the meeting. The Father entered the establishment, reached out and shook the young girl’s hand. They exchanged small talk, and the young girl shared that her upbringing of Love and Respect for all, and that her Father shared a lesson on how to react to personal attacks. Somewhere in the conversation, the father invited the young girl to have dinner with the Red and her family in the future. The young girl politely declined the invite. The Father, out of character, affirmed his feeling of a change in his Heart, due to the change of Red’s Heart and actions. As the meeting came to an end, they again shook hands and pleasantly parted. Not being there, I could only assume both parties felt good about the time, each other, and themselves.
Love is a word with great impact. There is not a manner at which one can hold it in your hands, nor can Love be tasted, seen, nor heard. Love is to be. If you experience Love, you may feel it or see an effect of a presence.
